  4. This is an odd inspiration, but honestly, it's let me weather some of the hard times and have absolutely no idea who said it.

    "God only gives you what you can handle."

    Makes me think God thinks I'm one tough broad ;), but it helps me survive when the going is rough.

    I'd be happy with any of the titles.

    "Blame yourself or blame God."

    I dig this one. People always seem to blame outside forces, sometimes God himself, for things that they should take the blame for. I always remember this to keep in mind that my mistakes are my own, and I should learn from them instead of blaming others.

    I overheard a woman in Cambridge, Mass., telling a friend that that was her favorite poem EVER while we were all waiting in line at a frame store about seven years ago. I thanked her for saying it out loud because it instantly became my favorite, too.

  16. In January I was on Day 18 of my period and had been sent for medical tests. I was struggling with the possibility of having cancer on Sunday morning, as I ran the sound system for our church worship team. As the team sang the following song (partial excerpt only) I cried my eyes out at the back, accepting whatever God had in store. Thankfully, it wasn't cancer.
